Hello and welcome to my LinkedIn profile! I am a creative and versatile person with a keen eye for detail. My passion for creativity is reflected in my work life and also in my numerous hobbies. As a communicative and team-oriented person, I highly value collaboration with others and am always striving to achieve the best possible outcome. With nearly two years of experience at Empa St. Gallen, where I completed my specialist baccalaureate, bachelor’s, and master’s thesis in English, I have gained solid laboratory and teamwork skills that have supported me in both my academic and professional journey. These experiences have strengthened my ability to tackle complex problems, develop innovative solutions, and document my work in detail. My bachelor’s and master’s theses focused on the development of a new in vitro Transwell model to simulate the human intestinal barrier and analyze the absorption of prions. During my work, I further developed my model and gained extensive knowledge of multiple different in vitro models. In addition to my academic career, I have a wide range of hobbies, from reading to learning new programs like Krita and Origin. However, my favorite hobby is origami. I have taught myself folding to a very high level of complexity and even design my own Origamis and create tutorials using Inkscape. This passion for origami demonstrates my perseverance in solving complex problems, finding creative solutions, and my attention to detail. With a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology and a completed master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from the ZHAW in Wädenswil, I have a hands-on background that allows me to put theoretical knowledge into practice. I am always eager to further develop my skills and knowledge and look forward to contributing positively in any situation. In addition to my passion for biotechnology, I enjoy learning English and use the language daily to improve my communication skills and connect internationally. During my time at Empa, I was also able to apply and enhance my English every day.
