About Tanner McClain

I am an aspiring law student currently in a gap year. Working to find life enriching experiences and discover new skills during a purposeful educational break. I graduated from the University of Idaho with a Bachelor of Science Cum Laude in Philosophy, Political Science, and a minor in English. I was involved in the student government at the University serving as the President of the Associated Students University of Idaho (ASUI). Within this role, I served as the chief spokesperson and executive of the student body. Responsibilities included representing and advocating for student interests to university administration, local officials, and state policymakers. I was the Scholarship Chairman of Beta Theta Pi; my role was to ensure academic excellence within my fraternity. I also served as the treasurer for the Pre-Law Society and College Republicans. As a student, I received numerous awards including the College of Letters Arts and Social Sciences Deans Medallion, Alumni Award For Excellence, Outstanding Junior Award, and Frank W. Childs IV Memorial Award. From May 2023 to August 2023, I interned in Senator Risch’s DC Office of the United States Senate. From June 2024 to July 2024, I interned at the 2024 Republican National Convention. I worked for the Commitee on Arrangements in the department of Legal Proceedings & Convention Comitees.
