Hello, my name is Tanner Zarbaugh, and I serve as the Safety Coordinator for the Franklin County Engineer's Office. With a robust background in OSHA 1910 General Industry and 1926 Construction standards, I am also a registered OSHA Outreach Trainer for 1926 Construction courses through Mid America OSHA.I am deeply committed to advancing construction safety, fostering a strong safety culture, and promoting professional development among employees. In my role, I oversee the comprehensive implementation of safety initiatives within the Franklin County Engineer's Office. This includes the creation and continuous improvement of safety programs, policies, and procedures, as well as developing and delivering safety training tailored to our team's needs.My responsibilities also encompass project planning, incident and accident reporting, detailed jobsite and facility inspections, acting as the point of contact for damage claims, maintaining medical records, and managing the procurement of personal protective equipment and other essential safety gear.My safety approach is grounded in the hierarchy of controls, which I apply meticulously to every task. Prioritizing the safety of my colleagues and cultivating a positive safety culture is paramount to me. I ensure that we plan for a safe working environment by utilizing the appropriate equipment and PPE while adhering to budgetary constraints.
