Experienced and goal oriented Development practitioner who has been in community development work for more than 5 years covering education, health, psychosocial support, child protection, livelihoods, economic strengthening and community empowerment projects targeting Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) through the use of bottom up approaches to Development. In addition I have knowledge in the coordination of HIV prevention,care and treatment projects,SRH and mental health research for Children, Adolescents and Young people living with HIV and have skills in supporting children at risk of losing family care. I am good at employing robust systems of internal control in the delivery of services to communities to ensure compliance to organizational and donor guidelines. Holder of a Master's Degree in Development Studies and a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Development Studies. AREAS OF EXPERTISE - Family Strengthening programme focusing on OVC support in terms of Health, Education, psychosocial support, life skills, Livelihoods, youth friendly services, Economic strengthening projects, Child protection and Community empowerment- HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment support for children,adolescents and young people aged 0-24 years, GBV, Clinical mentorship, Support group formation, TB and mental health support services-ASRH and CPC trainings-DREAMS Economic strengthening package for young women selling sex aged 15-24 years-Community Systems Strengthening to find,link and retain children and adolescents living with HIV (Project FLR) targeting children and adolescents aged 0-14 years, pregnant and lactating mothers-Youth development projects- Experience in the implemenation of NORAD,CIFF,ViiV Health Care and USAID PEPFAR funded projects at district level. KEY ACHIEVEMENTS - Launched the Zvandiri Programme in Chivi District-Enrolled 680 adolescents living with HIV at different facilities into support groups- Coordinated a study of 84 participants (ALHIV) to manage viral load, mental health issues and reduce mortality-Supported 25 out of school Youths to be self employed- Mentored and trained 40 Community Adolescent Treatment Supporters to support peers enrolled into the Zvandiri programme- Handled cases of children experiencing virological failure, defaulting ART and those experiencing child abuse and neglect with the help of Department of Social Welfare and other stakeholders-Have been instrumental in rolling out the SOS Family Strengthening Programme in Shamva District.
