About Tara Callear

I am an environmental professional with 10 years of experience in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. I bring to the table a broad understanding of transportation and environmental policy and planning at the federal, state, and local levels. I have worked on numerous infrastructure planning projects, ranging from light rail to multimodal facilities, with a focus on environmental analysis and documentation. I am competent in spatial analysis of construction and operational impacts to various natural and social resource areas, such as public lands, water, geologic hazard areas, visual resources and wetlands. My knowledge of resilience theory and its application has prepared me for addressing today’s complex social-ecological problems. I have participated in and led interdisciplinary sustainability planning efforts, using techniques such as vulnerability assessments and scenario planning. I have an aptitude for problem solving and conveying technical information in a concise manner for diverse audiences. I am skilled in public involvement and committed to meaningful engagement as a critical part of early project development. I enjoy developing maps and tools that facilitate broader understanding of planning activities. My career goal is to continue applying my expertise in NEPA, SEPA, and PEL processes to support sustainable and resilient transportation solutions in a changing climate.
