About Tara Cheung

20+ years of experience in the biotech industry. Well versed in a broad range of techniques and skills that would be needed to get a pre-clinical project up and running. I have supported projects from preparation steps such plasmid cloning to protein production or other reagent generation such a reporter cell lines and then on to development of biochemical, in vitro, and cellular assays. I've also support the miniaturizing the assays for high throughput screen and then the target validation of the hits found in those screens. I'm always interested in new opportunities to expand my knowledge and experience and to utilize my skills to progress a project and to aid colleagues. Specialties: in vitro assay development (biochemical and cellular), Luminex, flow cytometry, western blotting, stable cell line generation by multiple methods, primary cells, BSL2+ work with lentivirus and HBV, qRT-PCR, RNA and DNA isolation, sequencing, and molecular cloning techniques, TR-FRET assays, protein expression and affinity purification, and ELISA.
