About Tara Granea

I work at the intersection of governance, sport, and social impact, helping organisations strengthen the way they operate so they can deliver greater impact every day. I currently serve as Governance Compliance Coordinator at the International Paralympic Committee and as an Independent Director – Governance with Tchoukball UK, focusing on effective structures, clarity in process, and supporting teams to thrive. My career journey has always been rooted in sport. From early roles in participation, events, and customer support, to advancing into policy and governance, I have seen how strong systems make a lasting difference. Alongside my professional experience, I completed a master’s degree exploring the linguistics of sport policy and its influence on the wider sporting landscape. Today, I’m proud to contribute to the Paralympic Movement and the values it represents. In parallel, I also represent my country as an international athlete in Tchoukball. Competing at this level gives me a valuable perspective on sport from the athlete’s side, complementing my governance expertise with direct experience of the realities on the field of play. Guided by integrity, curiosity, and teamwork, I thrive on solving puzzles and building practical solutions - whether untangling policy challenges, designing governance frameworks, or finding ways to make people’s working lives easier. I am always open to collaboration, governance projects, and board opportunities where I can help organisations work smarter and create meaningful, sustainable impact.
