Background

About Tara Hambrick

I completed bachelor’s degrees in both chemistry and psychology at Mississippi State University in May 2022. These degrees have provided me a large skillset in diverse fields and the ability to adapt to new environments, problem solve, and connect with many people. I have successfully conducted work in many settings including chemical research, non-profit work with a focus in fundraising and outreach, childcare, and social media. These experiences have given me the opportunity to work with many diverse groups of people while maintaining a positive environment for all while working towards a larger goal. I am able to adapt to new scenarios quickly and provide the best work in any environment as shown through my in-country internship in Cambodia. I was involved in the anti-human trafficking organization at my university where I served as vice-president for two years and president of for one year. This has given me the opportunity to work with both peers and high-risk community groups to raise awareness for modern day slavery. In this position I also worked directly with local and global organizations to raise funds and awareness for specific projects. With this opportunity I learned to engage and unite multiple groups of people for one common goal while gaining important leadership skills.
