About Tara Hush

I am a Design Director in Cincinnati, Ohio. Originally from Columbus, I moved to Cincinnati to attend The University of Cincinnati’s DAAP program. I got right to work in this fine city, a graphic design hub of the midwest, shortly after graduating with a BS in graphic design, and I’ve called it home since. I’ve had the opportunity to work on everything from environmental design to graphic apparel design, but my passion and expertise lie in branding and packaging. I won some kind of cosmic lottery by finding this career, as it combines my love of problem solving with my love of art. There is no better feeling than getting to the end of a messy, arduous process and landing on a solution that meets all challenges of the brief, all while looking effortless and pleasing to the eye. I find it rewarding to be in a line of work where the only limit to my effect on the world is how hard I’m willing to work for it. I love doing projects that make a difference in the lives of my family, colleagues, and community. I also really enjoy traveling, going to the movies, having a good beer with great friends, and giving my brain a break when it comes to design every now and again. I work hard, I play hard, and I believe in leaving little bit of sparkle wherever I go.
