About Tara L.

Although I have not yet had a job, the personal time in which I have dedicated to volunteering my time to represent my school has given me many social communication skills and problem-solving skills. I have volunteered successfully every year to represent my school at the Science Alive showcase at the Adelaide Showgrounds. Prior to my experience with the Australian Science and Mathematics School (ASMS), I had been a large part of my earlier high school's student representative body and gave much of my own time to collaboratively improving and discussing topics which needed focus. I have also represented the ASMS at voluntary events such as science nights at local kindergartens and been selected many times as an "ambassador student" at public events. Helping at each open night for my school meant that my communication skills and likelihood to bond positively with members of the public is increased, and I am able to answer most (if not all) questions people of the public ask me. In my personal time, I work with and improve my photo editing skills, as well as video gaming and to a lesser extent computer programming. This has left me rather tech savvy and I consider myself to be above average when it comes to using, understanding, and improving computer and digital performance. I also create much digital and traditional art in order to relax and improve my skills as an artist, meaning I am quite the creative mind My ability to problem solve and improvise when a tough situation arises is certainly above average, and I can safely say I have never been caught in a situation where I have no clue how to act or what to do. I complete tasks no matter how difficult with a positive eye, and always try my hardest to keep those around me (even those whom I don't know) happy.
