Formerly with the Humane Society of the United States, operated large scale programs to integrate the work of law enforcement, humane animal causes & mass sterilization/vaccination programs. Programs received accolades and inclusion in the Clinton Global Initiative as well as awards from government entities. Formerly served in the positions of Senior Director, Manager, and Field Responder for the organization. Prior to joining The HSUS, served three years as a humane officer with the Pennsylvania SPCA, investigating and prosecuting cruelty cases with a track record of successful undercover work. Tara started her career as a teacher and educated children for over three years in the Philadelphia region. Tara holds a master’s degree from St. Joseph's University and a bachelor’s degree from Central Connecticut State University.
