I have worked at the Canada Energy Regulator (Formerly the National Energy Board) since 2008. I am a seasoned strategic communications and engagement professional with over two decades of proven success in delivering impactful results. My expertise lies in strategic planning, and seamlessly integrating data analysis and project management skills into my daily work. I prioritize collaboration and relationship building to achieve project milestones and support organizational transitions. I value opportunities for growth, learning, and personal connection. I enjoy managing complex projects and issues that allow me to apply my diverse skill set to engagement, communications, and project management work. I am a self-starter and critical thinker that can work independently, but also as part of a team. I take initiative, and will propose alternatives or solutions if I see something that can be improved on. As a Senior Communications Advisor I provided proactive communications advice and support to senior executives, Board Members and others on strategic communications, both internal and external. I have also helped identify, plan and manage proactive media and public engagement activities for the National Energy Board, including media briefings, product development and delivery. I have acted as a spokesperson for the Board on a number of complex and sensitive issues, coordinating media interviews, training, and media monitoring. I bring a broad range of skills to the projects I work on. In addition to my experience providing strategic communications and proactive public relations advice, I have experience with media relations, public engagement and project management. I have also worked as a graphic designer, desktop publisher, web manager, and event coordinator.
