About Tara Pratt

I am the owner of White Horse Stable, in Stanley NY. Over the years I have transitioned to a more holistic approach to how I care for the horses in my care. Including things like nutrition, horsemanship, communication, Massage and Energy work and more. My goal is to maintain a happy herd. It is important to care for all parts of the horse including there mental health. I ask all owners that are part of my program that they make a commitment to being present with their horse at least twice a week, so the horse gets some general attention, at the very least grooming and hand walking. I think this is imperative in order to have a happy, healthy herd. I also offer training and lessons focusing on building a stronger relationship between horse and human. We can work on individual needs, from getting comfortable with a new horse to going on a trail ride or going to a horse show. I use natural methods that the horse understand and I try to show the people how the horse thinks and why. This usually helps people develop a stronger relationship with their horse.
