About Tara Reinertson

Tara is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice in Oakland, CA. Her approach weaves together evidenced-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is also certified in EMDR and has helped many clients heal from past trauma. She is a skilled couple's therapist and helps couples investigate relationship dynamics and learn new ways to relate to foster intimacy and trust. Tara celebrates and builds upon her clients strengths and sees challenges and crisis as an opportunity for growth. She has a B.A. in Environmental Science and Biology from UC Santa Cruz (1992) and a M.A. in Transpersonal Psychology from JFK University (2005).
