Speech Language Pathologist holding Certification of Clinical Competence and SLP Licensure in the states of New York and California. Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology received from Jacksonville University. Experience with both pediatric and geriatric populations in settings such as skilled nursing, respiratory care, long-term and short-term acute care, inpatient rehab, critical care, outpatient, pediatric daycare, pediatric private practice, and Prek-12th grade school-based care. Extensive experience with implementing assessment and intervention tools such as Passy Muir Speaking Valve (PMV), Videofluoroscopy (VFSS) or Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS), and low-high tech Augmentative/Alternative Communication (AAC) systems. Experience utilizing communication systems with both pediatric and geriatric populations, while PMV/MBSS experience primarily with medically complex geriatric populations with respiratory needs, including tracheostomy and ventilator-dependent patients. Mentor to newly hired SLP's within the LTACH, SNF and ARU settings.
