My name is Tara Thomas and I am a Paediatric Occupational Therapist. In 2013, I graduated from the University of the Sunshine Coast with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy with Honours. I strongly believe in the core Occupational Therapy values, in that people should be viewed holistically and that each person has their own unique story. We all engage in occupations and roles that we find personally meaningful. I am very passionate about working with children, because I believe every child has a unique personality, various skills, and characteristics that make them who they are. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing that smile light up on a child’s face when they feel a sense of achievement or mastery when they have learned something new. I hope to encompass a holistic and family-centred approach in my therapy to work closely with all children and their families.
