With over 18 years of experience as a Product QA Engineer, I have demonstrated exceptional expertise in data protection and cybersecurity, particularly within enterprise backup solutions. I have contributed to the development and robustness of products from top companies like Veritas Backup Exec, NetBackup, Commvault, Dell Avamar, and Dell PPDM, specializing in ransomware resilience, RBAC,GDPR compliance, and two-factor authentication (2FA). Currently, as a Senior Product QA Engineer at Index Engines, I am leading initiatives within CyberSense, a cutting-edge solution for data protection and cybersecurity. I create and execute detailed test strategies for both functional and non-functional testing, ensuring the integrity and security of data across various environments. My work focuses on validating CyberSense's ability to protect sensitive data from evolving cyber threats, such as malware and ransomware. I leverage advanced techniques to test data integrity, specifically analyzing entropy variations, data corruption, file deletions, and encryption to safeguard against threats. Using tools like JMeter, I conduct performance assessments to evaluate the scalability of backup products, especially in platforms like Data Domain. Additionally, I ensure smooth integration and security of REST APIs across the product while automating testing workflows to enhance efficiency. At Veritas Technologies LLC, I led efforts to strengthen Veritas Backup Exec, focusing on enhancing ransomware protection, encryption, 2FA, and ensuring GDPR compliance. I spearheaded performance testing for Microsoft 365 backup and disaster recovery testing, which improved data restoration speeds and security. My contributions in Proof of Concept (POC) initiatives led to innovations that enhanced the overall product offering. Beyond my professional experience, I contribute actively to the open-source community on GitHub, collaborating on projects that promote advancements in data protection and cybersecurity. I possess deep technical knowledge in Azure Cloud Operations, PowerShell, Shell Scripting, Windows, Linux, and testing tools such as JMeter, Postman, Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki reflecting my continuous professional development. Additionally, I have expertise with security app scan tools like Nessus Scan, Coverity, and Brute force, ensuring comprehensive vulnerability assessments to enhance data protection capabilities within the products I work on.
