About Tarik Glenn

Workplace benefits give us a glimpse into the stories and life needs of our teammates, their families, and the communities we serve.Working in HR and within the benefits space, I am privileged to be an integral and often intimate part of the lives of teammates. Individuals confide in me and seek my guidance on life changes, health (insurance) challenges, and to be a resource during sensitive or catastrophic events. No benefits or leave of absence inquiry is transactional. There is often a deeper-rooted need. I treat each inquiry as an opportunity to build a relationship to explore the life need.Health and wellness are components of our professional journey. Employee health and mindfulness are pillars to organizational productivity and growth. I strive to lead benefit initiatives that can be scaled, are well measured, use plain language, are designed to be practiced in and outside the organization, and are affordable to the lowest paid individual. Benefits must be robust, yet simple to understand, uniform for all teammates (not rooted in 'it depends'), enrich the individual and workplace, and consistent with talent acquisition and retention strategy.I strive to enhance the lives of teammates by boldly and continuously asking why (and welcoming others to ask why of me), running to challenges, exploring with unbounded curiosity, and deliberately choosing to be uncomfortable and vulnerable to become more resilient and better prepared to embrace change.
