Tarun has been instrumental in streamlining the Procurement to pay stage of Supply Chain Management for all the major Raw Material for his organization. Some of his major achievements and core responsibilities are: Been instrumental in cost reduction by deploying various procurement strategies Ensured zero stock outs and inventory level within norms after defining defining inventory norms for all the major items. Identified critical material through Kraljic’s method and then entered into long term formula based contract for those items. Negotiated the contracts for routine items keeping in mind the objective of just in time inventory Identified bottleneck and critical items and has done risk diversification by vendor development from different regions. Developed alternative material in discussion with the user department for some of the bottleneck items. Worked relentlessly to reduce lead times of procurement and introduced flexibility in the system for the planning team Developed vendor rating method and codified vendors in different category Worked in close coordination with Logistics and Finance to ensure hassle-free flow of imported material to the plant Been hand-picked by the management to be a part of the Working Capital and Inventory management team He has also been a part of a team that reported directly to the CEO and was responsible for defining sales strategy after monitoring different costs including True Variable Cost as per TOC. He is one of the youngest participants of the LEAD Management program, aimed at grooming future leaders of the organization.
