About Taryn Lindquist Conger

Currently, I am employed at the Upstate Cancer Center as a Nurse Practitioner working in the specialty of Hematology & Oncology. I have also had the experience of working as a Nurse Practitioner with the Neurology Stroke team at Upstate University Hospital. I have completed my MSN FNP training through the Upstate Medical University College of Nursing with a post-master’s certificate in Education. Working at an academic medical institution, I have instructed the mandatory Stroke education courses at Upstate, as well as Neuro Assessment, Anatomy & Physiology. I worked in leadership as an Assistant Nurse Manager of the Neuroscience intermediate Care Unit, while completing a graduate degree. I have had the opportunity as a team leader to construct a Stroke Specialty Certification review course for fellow registered nurses at Upstate to bolster speciality practice. I have been afforded the honor to present the findings of this project at the AANN 2020 Stroke Care Conference along with my team. I have a passion for nursing, as well as aim to be professional and clear in my ability to communicate. I am committed towards pursuing a career infused with continuous learning- MSN FNP, post-master’s certificate in Education from SUNY Upstate College of Nursing - BSN and Forensics Certificate from SUNY Binghamton University - Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN)- Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN)- Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)- Neuro Vascular Registered Nurse Board Certified (NVRN-BC)- Emergency Neuro Life Support (ENLS)
