About Taryn Maurici

I am a versatile and outcomes-focused professional with more than twelve years of experience in government regulation, mostly in town planning and environmental impact assessments. Following a rewarding period working in defence workforce and recruitment, I transitioned into a new phase of my career as Project Officer for the South Australian Defence Industry Connection Program. In this role, I manage a strategic initiative that aims to strengthen South Australia's defence workforce by connecting university students with employers across the defence industry supply chain, including small to medium-sized enterprises and defence primes. I collaborate with host companies, universities, and students to deliver meaningful internship opportunities that support workforce development, innovation, and diversity within the sector. My background in planning and compliance has equipped me with strong analytical, stakeholder engagement, and project management capabilities, which I now apply in a dynamic and future-oriented industry. I am committed to building partnerships, supporting emerging talent, and contributing to the growth and sustainability of Australia's defence capability.
