About Taryn McBrayne

Taryn McBrayne is a highly-driven, research-informed, patient educator committed to creating learning environments where all learners can thrive and ensuring that every student's unique voice is heard and valued. She currently works at Ruamrudee International School as a Middle School Learning Support Teacher and serves as Chief Learning Officer for MARIO Education. In addition to teaching in Thailand, she has also taught in the United Arab Emirates, making the leap into the world of international education straight out of Teacher's College. It was here that she fell in love with the international school community. Supporting learners in the neurodivergent community, Taryn empowers her students to take ownership over their learning by allowing the voices of each student to shine in the classroom. She adopts a strengths-based approach to her work with students, celebrating their unique skillsets and talents while helping them achieve their full potential. She focuses not only on the academic growth of her learners, but places a strong value on social-emotional learning, guiding her students towards building improved versions of themselves holistically. She is a reflective and empathetic listener in addition to a passionate advocate for her students, collaborating with families, educators, school leaders, and additional stakeholders to create caring teams of support. In her work, Taryn prioritizes the building of strong, trustful relationships, and uses the educational pedagogy, The MARIO Framework, and the one-to-one educational intervention known as The MARIO Approach to do so. As a lifelong learner herself, Taryn finds joy in growing alongside her students and is grateful to be able to learn from and collaborate with diverse groups of professionals in her career as an international educator. She is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of learners and collaborating with stakeholders to create inclusive, caring, and innovative educational environments.
