About Taryn Sheehan

I am a seasoned athletic leader with a unique blend of academic and on-field experience, dedicated to building championship programs and developing the next generation of leaders. As the former Head Women's Cross Country Coach at Yale University, I have spent over 15 years cultivating a culture of excellence, teamwork, and resilience, leading student-athletes to multiple championships and personal bests. My passion lies in guiding female athletes not just to on-field victory, but through the crucial process of collegiate recruiting, helping them find the perfect academic and athletic fit. My role as an Adjunct Professor at Sacred Heart University allows me to apply my strategic sports administration expertise to prepare future industry professionals. My Master's in Sports Administration from the University of Louisville provides a strong foundation in the business and operational side of sports, which is crucial for managing successful programs and organizations. I also bring elite-level coaching experience from my time as an Assistant Coach with Team USA U23 NACAC, contributing to international success. My passion is for using sports as a vehicle for personal growth and achievement, creating a positive and supportive environment where athletes can thrive both on and off the field.
