I am a dedicated advocate for safe, inclusive, and equitable workplaces. As WORTH Association’s Operations Manager, I have been instrumental in streamlining operations, building organizational capacity, and driving initiatives that educate, elevate, and engage women in recreation, tourism, and hospitality. I also serve as the Lead Event Producer for Yes Shef: Elevating Women in Food & Beverage, WORTH’s signature fundraiser, where I oversee the creative vision, programming, and production of this high-impact event series. With extensive experience in hospitality leadership, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), and non-profit programming, I have advanced WORTH’s mission while fostering a community of belonging. A veteran of the restaurant industry, I have worked alongside the country's premier talent at JOEY, Saltlik, Vin Room, Hawksworth, Ancora, and Vij’s, showcasing a decades-long career marked by service excellence. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Gender Studies from the University of Lethbridge and am pursuing a Graduate Diploma in Evaluation at the University of Victoria’s School of Public Administration. Born in Guyana and of mixed-race heritage, my lived experience deeply informs my work. I apply an intersectional approach to amplify underrepresented voices and foster meaningful conversations about diversity and inclusion. My work is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and a vision for systemic change, creating a lasting impact on individuals and communities alike. In my free time, I enjoy fleeing the city to forest bathe, buying more books than I can read in my lifetime, and visiting old friends at their new restaurants.
