About Tasha Carruthers

I am a passionate and energetic public policy professional who thrives on teamwork and collaboration. With a background in Anthropology and Environment (BA) and a Master’s in Public Policy, I bring a unique interdisciplinary perspective to my work in policy development and community engagement. Over the past two years, I have had the privilege of working in consulting for First Nations, supporting projects in health, education, and child and family services. This experience has deepened my commitment to advancing equitable outcomes for Indigenous communities and allowed me to collaborate closely with leadership and community members to create meaningful change. I am particularly drawn to community engagement, as I believe that lasting and effective policy is built through listening, understanding, and working directly with the people it impacts. I am passionate about fostering culturally safe and inclusive environments and am eager to continue supporting initiatives that empower First Nations communities and contribute to their well-being.
