About Tasha Hunt

I started working at Travel Republic back in 2015, where I entered as a Customer Support Executive assisting customers over the telephone and via online requests. I was quickly trained in further administration duties which allowed me to not only assist with general queries, but also began amending holidays and taking on more complex queries.By 2017, I had moved over to the Customer Relations team at Travel Republic, where my role was primarily to deal with post travel complaints. I would answer the telephone, respond to emails and liaise with suppliers to investigate complaints, and provide outcomes to the customers in a promptly manner. During my four years at Travel Republic, I also learnt skills within the sales team, as well as spending a month working on live chat which was different to any other role I had done before. However, I’m grateful for the opportunities I was given during my time there as I was able to further my skills and delve into other sides of the business. In 2019 I decided that I wanted a change of career, so I joined the British Heart Foundation as the Social Media Coordinator. My role here involved speaking with the general public through social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. It was a very fulfilling role, especially working for a charity such as the BHF. Speaking to the public about how they can raise money for our cause, and hearing their personal stories was so touching and something I won’t forget. During the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic, I made the decision to return to education. I realised over the years that I had a passion for writing, and so in September 2020 I began studying Journalism and Creative Writing at the University of Roehampton. I graduated in September 2023 with a first class honours.
