About Tashia Calhoun

One of my favorite things is to open my inbox and find new email subscribers and conversions… it means what we are doing is working! I love research, gathering data, implementing website changes to improve user experience, seeing high click through rates in email campaigns and sliding into the #1 spot in Google organic search for an important keyword phrase. My self education into the digital world began in 2005 as a stay at home mom needing to make some extra income. I began with an ebay store and later created a wordpress website with downloadable products that catered to busy moms. Reading is my passion, whether its curling upon the couch with a good suspense novel or discovering the top 10 ways to improve CTR. 2009 brought a new adventure as I joined the team at a local website and marketing company to head up the SEO and Local Optimization services, including keyword research, optimizing websites and local business listings to increase their online presence. In 2011, I began a position at Stratis Industries and was able to help the company cut costs by bringing many projects in house: the creation of digital media and marketing materials, social media marketing, website updates/creation and various IT tasks. Being a smaller company, I got to wear many hats and was able to develop many new skills. I managed 4 websites and 15 social accounts, along with Google Analytics and paid advertising campaigns on Google Adwords, Facebook and Pinterest. In 2012, I built the 1st MobileStrong.net website in Dreamweaver with a strong focus on keyword research and SEO and today, even after 2 redesigns, MobileStrong held on to high organic search rankings.
