About Tate Leone

Tate currently develops print and pattern for apparel, accessories, and footwear at Nike in Portland, OR. She has created original print and textile artwork, color design, graphics, and product packaging for Marc Jacobs, Coach 1941, Victoria’s Secret Lingerie, Roller Rabbit, and Anthropologie. Her work at Marc Jacobs was included in the 2019 MET Gala: Camp; and has been published in editorials from Instyle, Garage Magazine, Architectural Digest, Vogue Brasil, and AnOther. Tate’s work has been seen on Rita Ora, Tan France, Nur Fazura, Melissa McCarthy, Michael B. Jordan, Beyonce, and Lizzo. While working in print design, Tate also creates original and commissioned artwork. She has worked with the Mattress Factory Museum and the Carnegie Museum of Art, and Chautauqua Institution. She was an Artist in Residency at Bunker Projects and has exhibited work in Pittsburgh, Denver, and New York. Her work is a part of the collection of Eric Shiner, currently a leader of Pioneer Works, formerly Senior Vice President of Sotheby's Fine Art Division, Bill Benter of the Bill Benter Foundation, and has been featured on the blogs and social media of The Glassblock, Pittsburgh; ArtMaze Magazine, Issue 3; and Field Projects Gallery, New York. Tate graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a BFA in Studio Art and the Fashion Institute of Technology for a degree in Textile and Surface Design. She is extremely passionate about implementing sustainable and ethical practices throughout design and production. Tate loves working on new commissions and collaborative projects.
