About Tavin Morgan

I aspire to become a podiatrist for a combination of reasons/experiences. I have always wanted to go into a medical profession, which has blossomed into a passion for podiatry. I volunteered as an EMT all through high school and now as an Advanced EMT at the Lone Peak Fire Department. I am a medical scribe for Dr. Hoopes MD, orthopedic surgeon/foot and ankle specialist and also shadow podiatrists regularly. I am a Type-1 diabetic since Feb. 2009 and have learned how to keep my blood sugars stable. I run ultra marathons throughout the year and volunteer as often as possible at running events. I've had several complications with my own feet and ankles, exposing me to this field of work. I love learning the value and process of foot and ankle care. As a podiatrist you get to help a variety of people stay on their feet, perform surgery, work in sports medicine if you like, manage your patient's healing, and are able to have time for a family! For me, there is no career that could be better than podiatry!
