About Tayler Fleming

I am currently the Green Initiatives Coordinator at the Manitoba Métis Federation, with a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from Brandon University and a Diploma in Land & Water Management from Assiniboine Community College. My interest in and work for the environment stems from my culture - I am a proud Métis woman with roots in the Red River, the heart of the Métis Homeland and the birthplace of the Métis Nation. Though society tends to extract us from our environment, we are connected to it in every way and in order to thrive as a people, we must first look after and now repair our environment. My current position allows me to dive into bettering our environment one tree at a time for the betterment of the Red River Métis but also the betterment of Canadians and for that I am grateful.
