About Tayler Todd

I am currently a senior underground geologist with Nevada Gold Mines (NGM) at the Turquoise Ridge Complex. I have my B.S. in Geological Engineering focusing on mining and geo-technical related options from Montana Tech of the University of Montana. My previous geological experience prepared me for underground ore control, data interpretation, work place adaptability, and working with a multitude of different teams and people. I focus on drill planning, execution, budgeting, and forecasting. Programs are designed for model definition, adding and/or refining ounces constrained to potential geologic controls, and adding to overall life of mine reserves and resources. I mentor coworkers and ensure data used is of quality and fall within standard QAQC acceptable limits, and report out results regularly. I will help vet drilling and channel extractions, monitor drill progress, core log, assist engineering by providing geological interpretations and a variety of other related tasks. I can work ore control underground, which includes, but isn't limited to: face sample, face mapping, directing sill advance, open communication with operations and planning. I peer review co-workers as needed to ensure standard practices and safety policies are being followed; peer reviews can include but not limited to: ore control, core logging, reporting, etc.
