About Taylor Corey

I am a graduate of Northeastern University, Master of Science in Counseling Psychology. I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Child Development and Family Relations from the University of Maine. I am currently a Master’s Level Clinician on the licensing track to become a Licensed Mental Health Counseling (LMHC). I am currently a Child Outpatient and School-Based Clinical Therapist at Community Counseling of Bristol County in Taunton, Massachusetts. In my role at CCBC, I have implemented intake assessments along with Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral interventions to help work through a variety of common challenges. I am trained in SMART, where I help children process traumatic experiences through the use of various sensory inputs. In ensuring I cater to individual needs, implementing treatment plans and goals by collaborating with clients based on what is prominent at the time. I work closely with colleagues, outside providers, and family members to ensure the needs of the client are being met, in terms of maintaining ongoing goals and treatment plans. I thoroughly enjoy working with children and adolescents, as I am interested in helping them socially and emotionally. I love working with all individuals, as everyone has new experiences and challenges they maneuver as they enter new phases of their life. Given the current mental health and COVID-19 crisis, I am interested in helping individuals through this difficult time.
