About Taylor Dawley

I always knew I wanted to pursue a career in the healthcare field, but I wasn't sure just which direction I wanted to go. I started looking into potential careers in high school, and decided that my ultimate goal was to graduate as a Registered Nurse. I am currently a fourth year student at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Public Health, and plan on attending Nursing School following my graduation from UNR. During my junior year at UNR I decided it was time to make my debut in the medical field. I obtained an entry level position as the Surgery Unit's Graveyard Unit Clerk at Renown Regional Medical Center. I have now held this position for close to a year and have seen and learned things I never could have imagined. My biggest takeaway though, is that the medical field is one hundred percent the field I want to pursue a career in. Outside of work, I am a major homebody. I love spending time with my dogs, and with my family, especially if involves going hiking.
