Brand StatementI have always been fascinated with fashion. Fashion to me is a foolproof way to communicate creativity, personality, and style all at once. It frees you to be who and what you want to be in the moment. I want everyone to experience the priceless moments in life that come from looking good and feeling even better because of fashion.Philosophy Ever since I was an adolescent, I was interested in all things of fashion. I repeatedly watched The Devil Wears Prada with my parents, even though I did not understand all the business and fashion nomenclature in the dialog, I knew it had to do with the whims of high fashion. It made me want to know what they were talking about and how the industry works. That movie made me realize that fashion is the industry in which I wanted to work and have a career. I believe that fashion, visual expression, and communications, visual, both verbal and non-verbal, go hand and hand. Therefore, I decided to major in Communication and Rhetorical Studies at Syracuse University. I have worked for Nordstrom, a fashion retail company, for almost five (5) years since graduating from high school with honors. Nordstrom employees collectively have a great work ethic and are known for their loyalty, commitment and inviting attitude. While I have been working for this company, I have held several positions, including cashier, sales associate, and customer service representative. I have learned and grown in each role while developing networking opportunities and professional relationships.
