About Taylor K.

When I was in high school, I wanted to be a chef. I completed a high school mini certificate in foods and nutrition, attended cooking classes outside of school, and even worked in restaurants. So, how did I get from chef to social services? My passion for mental health and psychology after I took Grade 12 Psychology and since then, I have pursued various opportunities to learn and grow in this field. With over seven years of experience in the social services and mental health fields, I have developed a strong foundation of skills and knowledge in trauma, mental health, and wellness. I am the Director of Operations at Candace House, Inc, a non-profit organization that offers a safe and supportive space for victims and survivors of crime. In this role, manage and oversee the operations, finances, and strategic direction of the organization and collaborate with various government and community partners to deliver wrap-around support to families. I am also a Canadian Certified Counsellor and an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP). In my counselling practice, I am committed to providing person-centered and compassionate psychotherapeutic counselling to individuals and couples.
