About Taylor Koper

Having achieved a BS degree in Justice Systems with a minor in Political Science at Truman State University, I am aiming to focus my leadership and communication skills on the inner workings of America's criminal and civil justice systems. This focus has led me to enroll at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, where I am now a first year student in the JD program. In earning my degrees, I am hoping to find a career that will allow me to protect United States citizens from enemies foreign and domestic, specifically in counterterrorism or intelligence gathering. As an undergraduate student at Truman State, I worked hard to balance time between my rigorous academic schedule and my responsibilities as a member of the women's varsity basketball team. My adaptability, and ability to face adversity, allowed me to experience success as a student athlete at Truman, helping me to achieve a 4.0 GPA after three years at the university, as well as in receiving Academic All-Conference and the Brother James Gaffney Distinguished Scholar Award for all three of my collegiate basketball seasons. My success in the classroom also allowed me to become a member of the Truman State chapter of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS), where I was able to further my leadership and communication skills while staying involved in my community.
