About Taylor Lindsay

My name is Taylor Lindsay and I am a Literary and Textual Studies graduate with minors in film studies and creative writing at York College of Pennsylvania. I am an accomplished and passionate English major who is a motivated leader in the classroom with strong organizational and prioritization abilities. Some of my specialized skills include adaptability and flexibility, accuracy and attention to detail, time management, as well as expertise in working with Google Suite and Microsoft Suite. As I major in the humanities, I have been faced numerous times with the question,"What will you do with your degree?". Despite these notions, I believe that having majored in the humanities left me with the critical thinking skills that are necessary for any future employer. Throughout my college career as a humanities major, I have learned that there is not necessarily one right answer to problems and often times we were forced to think "outside the box" for certain issues. I truly believe that having majored in the humanities left me with the necessary communication skills that would allow me to achieve my career aspirations in the sense that within the classroom I found myself working with others to find solutions to difficult questions. Accomplishments at York College include: Dean's List Honoree, 7/7 semesters. Awarded Merit Scholarship Awarded Edward T and Ruth L Jones Scholarship in Literature junior and senior year (2020 and 2021). Nellie Philips Brown Memorial Award for Literature (2022) Arts and Humanities Departmental Recognition Award (2022) Member of the Varsity Softball Team (2018-2022)
