As a first-year Master's student in Political Science at Howard University, I'm committed to learning about and impacting the world of international relations. I recently graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in Foreign Service and a minor in spanish. My academic journey is fueled by a passion for language learning, public service, and cultural exchange, which has enriched my perspective on global dynamics, particularly within my regions of focus: Africa and Latin America. My practical experience includes government grant allocations tracking, honing my attention to detail and understanding of funding mechanisms. I've developed strong research and communication skills through memo writing, congressional hearing summarization, and policy tracking. Furthermore, my work on a green energy research paper for the Port of Oakland demonstrates my ability to delve into complex topics, present important findings, and inform future organizational endeavors. Beyond my academic and professional pursuits, I thrive on challenges that demand project management, adaptability, and strong time management. My commitment to scholarly excellence was recognized with the Georgetown University Hispanic Studies Medal for outstanding interest and work in the field. I also contribute to community development as the Social Media Director and Secretary of Ubumwe, a non-profit organization in Virginia, further solidifying my dedication to impactful work.
