Background

About Taylor MacAnn

I am a dedicated and service-driven professional with over a decade of customer experience and a growing foundation in student engagement, mentoring, and academic support. With a background in leadership roles across retail, banking, and educational support services, I am now focused on transitioning into higher education administration to support student success, retention, and inclusive campus environments. My professional journey includes experience as a student orientation leader at Miami University, a library assistant, and a youth peer partner for community-based educational services. These roles sparked my passion for guiding students through their academic journeys and advocating for mental health and equity in education. Whether I’m mentoring new employees, leading department teams, or facilitating developmental conversations, I bring empathy, strong communication, and a strategic mindset to every interaction. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Professional Studies at Purdue Global, I aim to combine my practical leadership background with academic preparation to build a meaningful career in student affairs or enrollment services. My long-term goal is to become a higher education administrator who leads with compassion, drives student-centered programs, and helps shape welcoming, supportive learning environments. Let’s connect! I’m always open to learning from professionals in higher ed and growing my network in support of this mission.
