About Taylor Parr

I am a young, highly driven individual who has recently come to the end of an MSc in Textile Design Technology and Innovation, achieving a distinction. I also hold a first class Textile Design BA (Hons) degree from De Montfort University. My key interests surround sustainable materials and textiles. Throughout my MSc I have focused on PPE, hygiene textiles including nappies, and wound care treatments, specifically focusing on antimicrobials. My medical textile focus stemmed from the COVID-19 pandemic, with a need for sustainable alternatives for single-use PPE, pushing me to explore a new, ever growing industry. My broad knowledge of sustainability in textiles makes me adaptable, highly motivated and always keen to expand my knowledge.
