I have been an Accountant at Aegon/Transamerica since June 2019. I handle a variety of responsibilities ranging from AP (for US, UK, and Hungarian businesses), Chargeback Billing, Contractor Tracking, Month End Journal Entries, Accruals, and Allocations. Some of my achievements included- Streamlined the Hungarian Contractor invoice approval process to virtually eliminate cost center errors and process by 2 hours - Utilized PowerQuery to reduce data manipulation across several processes including: the monthly AP Recon preparation process, a quarterly tax journal entry (reduced process time for both by roughly 50%); as well as the monthly Contractor Headcount report from a 45 minute to a 5 minute process and the UK AP journal entry process significantly while reducing coding and data errors- Learned a complex Netherlands staff allocation process without documentation, reduced the process time by 3 hours, and developed thorough documentation- Successfully planned and transitioned all of our teams working documents for a Shared Drive to SharePoint/Teams and streamlined data storage- Developed 8 months of O365 Training material and trained team members in bi-weekly meetings - Transitioned all Chargeback Billing and AP Processes to be paperless- Created clear and informative reports related to the US AP invoices being processed without POs to inform our No PO No Pay initiative- Recognizing a process gap for Contractor cost center coding between data sources and systems and developing a workflow to check coding and reduce errors- Receiving “Bravo” awards for Accountability, Customer Centricity, and Acting as One from various teams across our organization (Infrastructure, Procurement, O365, and Hungarian Office). Previously, I was an International Business/Accounting Intern for EcoLips in Cedar Rapids. There I performed basic AP and AR processing, recognized reasons for aging accounts, and executed a process to be paid for money owed from Walmart, Kehe, and other customers. I studied International Business and Accounting at Coe College.
