About Taylor Sheble

It was a “quarantine hobby” that sparked my interest in data science/analytics as a career: exploring, wrangling and creating visualizations to track COVID-19. I spent countless hours learning everything I could to pull live data, and create maps and graphs to visualize the impact on a global, state and county level, eventually developing an RShiny app. Analyzing data was not new to me; having majored in biology, I always loved working with data and statistics for my projects. I have memories of late nights in the library creating the perfect visualizations for my lab reports. While working at St. Matthias Preschool, I was given the opportunity to perform a program study, analyzing student evaluations in different domains of development using primarily Microsoft Excel (with some R). While continuing to work in early childhood education, I decided to take classes to explore this interest further. I loved and excelled in all of them, eventually making my way to the Dean’s List and obtained certificates in data science and big data, and database programming.
