Hello! I’m Taylor Smith, a dedicated electrical engineer with a passion for innovation in electrical distribution and automation. I hold dual B.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Walla Walla University, and I am actively pursuing my Master's in Business Administration at University of South Florida Tampa. In my role as an Engineer at Pike Engineering, I specialize in the design and analysis of electrical distribution systems, including underground residential designs and electric vehicle charging stations. My work involves conducting arc flash studies, analyzing reliability data, and developing automation tools to enhance design accuracy and streamline QA/QC processes. I’m also adept at using software like ETAP, CYME, WinIGS, and programming languages including Python and C/C++. I hold an Engineer in Training certification from NCEES and am a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM). I have passed the Professional Engineering Exam for Power Engineering and am waiting for the necessary experience to obtain my PE stamp. Outside of work, I’ve contributed to various volunteer projects, such as developing software for open-source projects and am enrolled in the Florida Master Gardener Program. With a strong foundation in both electrical engineering and computer science, I am committed to advancing technology and improving engineering processes.
