About Taylor Steves

To be successful at Nike, you have to be a team player. You have to be able to collaborate, develop, coordinate, communicate, listen, and set goals. You have to want to grow. I began my career in Eugene with the University of Oregon Football Department. I spent two victorious years in operations. As a staff, we hosted team camps, coaching clinics, team award banquets, alumni tournaments, and recruit visits. I managed all related registrations, payments, schedules, facility coordination, and all general event coordination. I managed coaches’ media interviews, practice schedules, practice visitor passes, travel expenses, staff calendars, and was the sole line of communication between staff and players’ parents. On a daily basis I assisted 10 assistant coaches as well as the head coach. I consistently interacted with team boosters, players, Pac-12 Administration, NFL scouts, university administration, media outlets, and the public-at-large. After spending two years (aside from four years as a football operations student-intern) I was ready to find my next field (pun intended). I stepped out of my comfort zone and left my beloved Ducks in Eugene. Nike was going to bring me the love of sport, culture, and innovation all in one. In my relatively short time with the Swoosh, I’ve been able to touch eight categories. I have been fortunate enough to support incredibly smart and inspirational VP’s and GM’s who push me, motivate me, and believe in me. They have given me opportunities to lead, plan, and execute business decisions while touching insanely cool projects. I have been able to be in settings where we work as one team to obtain common goals. I have been able to take ownership of projects, foster relationships and build connections, which I love. I am dedicated, eager to collaborate, strengthen connections, create big impacts, disrupt the norm and the expected, and win at whatever the game is.
