About Taylor Thun

Initially I was inspired to learn more about physical therapy as a young athlete needing rehab and wanting to understand my body more. My interests quickly transformed into a pursuit for this career after seeing the profound effect a PT can have on their patients and how there is much more to being a PT than just manual therapy and exercise. I strive to always give my future patients the time, attention and empathy that they all deserve in order to build therapeutic relationships, trust and patient-centered care. Additionally, I am dedicated to the continuing development of the profession by using an evidence-based approach and current best practices guidelines. I have always had a desire to work with athletes and help them return to sport as I can closely relate to the feeling from my own personal experiences. More recently I have developed a keen interest in Neurological Rehabilitation after realizing the intensity, fulfillment and impact I can have on these peoples' lives. Following graduation, I look forward to expanding my practice into concussion and vestibular therapy. In 2017, I Graduated from Dalhousie University with Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with distinction. I have completed all graduating requirements for A Masters of Science in Physical Therapy at Queens University and have registered to complete the Canadian Physiotherapy Competency Exam in September 2020.
