Mission statement: As a student registered nurse anesthetist (SRNA), my mission is to provide outstanding anesthesia care that prioritizes patient safety, comfort, and overall well-being. In my upcoming years of education I will be dedicated to developing a deep understanding of anesthesia practice. My main focus is on delivering accurate and individualized care while keeping the patient's safety my utmost priority. Throughout my clinical practice as a SRNA I will build strong relationships with various interprofessional teams to ensure effective patient care. Vision statement: I am committed to continual learning, staying updated with the latest advancements in anesthesia practice, and refining my skills to ensure the best patient outcome. My goal is to collaborate with various interdisciplinary teams to deliver personalized care in all clinical settings. I envision myself advocating for patients, and upholding the highest of ethical standards in all clinical encounters. Ultimately, my goal is to become a trusted and respected CRNA who makes a meaningful impact in the healthcare community. The leadership theory that aligns with myself is the transformational leadership theory. Leaders in this theory inspire and motivate their followers to achieve the best possible outcome. They develop their team members by focusing on the vision at hand and by leading by example. I believe it is imperative that a leader leads from the front, rather from the rear. I have exemplified this leadership style in my various roles as an RN. My leadership philosophy is founded by trust, respect, and integrity. My priority as a leader involves valuing every member of the team equally, inspiring individuals, and placing the needs of my team above my own. My skill-set as a leader includes strong communication skills, the ability to adapt quickly to change, and the ability to set a clear goal that the team aims to work towards. My plan for the future is to graduate the nurse anesthesia program, pass the CRNA certification exam, and obtain a job with my new degree. I will stay informed on all the new technological advancements in the anesthesia field, and will also stay up to date with all the changes anesthesia practice goes through. Ischemic heart disease is the leading cause of death in the world (WHO, 2019). As a future CRNA, I will educate patients on ways to help prevent this disease by informing them that exercise, a healthier diet, and reducing stress can help. WHO.(2019).
