Hi, I’m Taylor Whichard—City Manager, engineer by training, and someone who’s just as comfortable in a council chamber as I am on a baseball field coaching my sons. I started my career in the oil and gas industry managing multimillion-dollar drilling projects, but found my true calling in municipal leadership, where I could make a direct impact on communities. Over the years, I’ve served as a City Engineer, Director of Public Works, and Interim City Manager. I’m passionate about infrastructure, operational efficiency, and creating smart growth strategies that benefit both residents and local businesses. I’ve managed budgets in the billions, overseen critical upgrades to water and wastewater systems, and built strong partnerships with state agencies and local organizations. I also help run a family-owned café in Lago Vista with my wife—and when I’m not working, I’m usually on the baseball field with our three boys or enjoying time at the ranch.
