About Taylor Wiggins

There are many skills and attributes that are necessary to fulfill the role of a teacher, but to be an outstanding teacher I believe you need to be dedicated, passionate, knowledgeable, and a leader. Throughout the school day I play many different roles, requiring all of the above skills and attributes. To use a sports analogy, teachers are coaches, equipment managers, athletic trainers, and cheerleaders all intertwined into one. In every one of these roles I expresses motivation and enthusiasm for my students (players) to shine. The job of the coach in the analogy is to have a game plan for the students for learning and ensures the players they are cable of success by executing the plan throughout practices. The equipment manager keeps track of all of the valuable resources needed throughout the practices and most importantly the games. The athletic trainer takes care of any bumps or scratches along the way. They repair the players and make sure their health is 100% and free of injuries. Lastly, the cheerleaders are on the sideline guiding the players with motivation to succeed on their own with unending support for their players. In my classroom I teach Introduction to Business and Entrepreneurship, Sports and Entertainment Marketing, Skills and Development for Careers, Microsoft Office, Web Design, Information Technology for Business Education. My classroom is managed with personalize learning at the forefront; with blended learning, flexible seating, and student guided assignments. I love implementing new and exciting technology into my classroom and open to new ideas and concepts to implement into my teaching style
