I am a Hearings Manager at the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), a regulatory body that protects the public and sets standards for health and care professionals. With over 10 years of experience in the legal and regulatory sector, I have developed core competencies in change management, reporting, relationship development, and stakeholder engagement. My mission is to ensure that the HCPC delivers fair, efficient, and quality hearings and meetings for its Fitness to Practise Department.As a Hearings Manager, I lead a team of 18 hearings officers, providing them with guidance, support, and feedback on their performance and development. I also monitor and report on the quality, timeliness, and efficiency of the hearings process, ensuring compliance with the relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. I have successfully implemented several changes and improvements to the hearings process, such as streamlining workflows, enhancing communication, and increasing customer satisfaction. I have also developed strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as panel members, lawyers, registrants, and witnesses, to facilitate the smooth and fair conduct of hearings. I enjoy working with a diverse and collaborative team that values integrity, accountability, and innovation.
