About Tea Siikonen

I love to work for the people & I believe that success is built inside out. I’m purpose-driven, efficient, productive & reliable professional with a versatile background in communications, responsibility, business administration & marketing:* I started my career in the hospitality industry, promoting luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, & meeting venues for B2C & B2B clients.* Then I worked in a media house in event production, managing high-profile decision maker events for different industries – collaborating with established Finnish business magazines & companies as partners.* I then moved to the non-profit sector & worked as Marketing & Communications Manager for the biggest annual fundraising & awareness-raising campaign in Finland, helping to raise 12.5 million Euros (2013–2016) to help the children in developing countries. I worked closely with the Finnish Broadcasting Company Yle, Finland's national public service media company.* After that, I briefly worked as Head of Communications, Marketing, Fundraising and Advocacy at the Finnish Refugee Council – UNHCR's associate in Finland.* Soon after, I started at the communications agency hasan comms, where I worked as Senior Communications Manager & then as Client Operations Director.* After years in agency business, I started as Head of Communications at MTV Oy – Finland’s leading commercial tv broadcasting company. In March 2022, I was promoted to a new role: Head of Corporate Communications & Responsibility.(In 2023–2024 I also briefly worked as Director, People, Communications & Responsibility.) I have a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Business Development & a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, Helsinki Finland. I’m currently studying applied psychology in University of Helsinki’s Open University to expand my knowledge.
